The Triumph Trident 660 is one of Triumph's best-selling motorcycles and a standout performer in the middleweight naked roadster segment. Since its launch in 2021, it has undergone significant updates, with the 2025 and 2026 model years bringing a comprehensive electronics upgrade that places it at the very top of its class for standard-fit technology.
The heart of the bike is a 660cc three-cylinder engine producing 81 HP at 10,250 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. More than 90% of peak torque is available from just 3,600 rpm, meaning the engine delivers usable power across the entire rev range – equally rewarding in urban traffic and out on twisty roads. The ride-by-wire system, Triumph Shift Assist bi-directional quickshifter, and assist-and-slipper clutch all come as standard, making every gear change fast and precise.
The chassis is built around a lightweight tubular steel frame renowned for its agility and nimble handling. 41mm Showa SFF-BP inverted forks with 120mm of travel up front, paired with a Showa monoshock offering 130mm of travel and adjustable spring preload at the rear, strike an excellent balance between sporty precision and everyday comfort. The braking system features dual 310mm front discs with Nissin calipers, backed by Optimised Cornering ABS using a six-axis IMU to maximise safety at all lean angles.
The electronics package is without rival in this class: Cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, quickshifter, and cruise control all come fitted as standard. The TFT/LCD instrument display with Bluetooth connectivity via the My Triumph app brings navigation, music, and phone calls within reach on the move. Three riding modes – Road, Sport, and Rain – are available to suit every condition. The Trident 660 is also fully A2 licence compatible with a restrictor kit available, making it an ideal first Triumph for newer riders with the reassurance of full power once a full licence is obtained.
